We are extremely pleased to announce that for the IFLR (International Financial Law Review) Awards we have been shortlisted in the Hungary Law Firm of the Year 2019 category (the only Hungarian one-country law firm on the list) and for the Deal of the Year Hungary 2019 category for the CEE Legal Matters Deal of the Year, LKT was involved in two deals out of the three shortlisted, namely for the Indotek Group’s Acquisition of an NPL Portfolio from the Hungarian National Deposit Insurance Fund on which LKT represented Indotek and on E.ON Hungaria’s Public Takeover Offers for ELMŰ Nyrt. and ÉMÁSZ Nyrt. shares, on which LKT, together with the Düsseldorf office of Hengeler Mueller, advised Innogy (formerly part of RWE) the largest selling shareholder. The transaction formed part of a wider transaction in which E.ON acquired various assets from RWE.
These shortlistings underline the growth and competitiveness of LKT as an independent national firm in the CEE region with a predominantly international client base.
