Professional experience

Gergely Kántor is a lawyer in the Banking & Finance and Capital Markets Groups at Lakatos, Köves and Partners. 

His primary practice areas are business law, banking law, finance law and corporate law. His professional experience also includes advising on banking operations, corporate governance as well as compliance with regulatory, competition, data protection and professional secrecy requirements.

Gergely Kántor earned his law degree at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Eötvös Loránd University in 2014. He received an LL.M. degree in European and International Business Law at Eötvös Loránd University in 2016.

Prior to obtaining a law degree, Gergely worked as a linguist and researcher at Eötvös Loránd University and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and then as a strategic and liaison specialist and a key account manager at various multinational companies. Besides his native Hungarian, he speaks English and Spanish.
